Kim Marie Bowen joined her Lord and Savior at the age of 63 on November 24, 2022 at her home in Meridianville, Alabama. She is survived by her daughter Amanda (Adam) Rochowiak, their children Peyton (12), Hattie (9), and Eleanor (6) and her sweet kitties Neely and Pablo, they all made up the entirety of her world. Kim was a loving and thoughtful mother and grandmother, but she went by Nana, because she was too young and fun to be "a grandma." She had recently moved to Meridianville to be closer to her family, and had spent the time since her move soaking up the family togetherness. Kim is also survived by her mother Patricia Anderson, her brother Brian (Karen) Anderson, and sister Karen (Pat) Parrish, and many nieces and nephews.
She also has left behind so many dear friends across the country from all of the many places she lived in her time here on earth. She was preceded in death by her father Ray Anderson and her brother Shawn Anderson. Kim was a graduate of Baker College with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Leadership that she utilized throughout her career. She was an amazing mentor and role model to her co-workers and always strived for greatness for all.
Kim loved to travel. She recently traveled to places such as Egypt, the Holy Land, Costa Rica, the Netherlands, and Belgium. She was a fashionable dresser and loved to accessorize, but wasn't afraid to get dirty either. She would hike, ride camels, climb tress, garden, and even went ziplining in Costa Rica. Kim was a dedicated Christian and her faith was strong. We rejoice that her Savior Himself came and took her home to be with Him for eternity.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lakeshore Woods in Fort Gratiot, Michigan from 2pm-4pm on May 14, 2023. This day is going to be a special occasion as we also are celebrating her mother’s 90th birthday and Mother’s Day.
