Billy Gene Reed, The Reverend Trash, was born August 21, 1972, in Fort Smith Arkansas, but his heart always claimed Memphis Tennessee as his hometown. From the beginning of his life, music, books, and art took up residency in his soul. When he was 14 he gained a love of the stage life when he was a part of the local Rocky Horror Picture Show play, playing Columbia. That love never faded, carrying him across country to play in his many bands, eventually landing in Huntsville Alabama. Whether he was on stage with his band, working as a welder and tattoo artist, or at home with his family, every part of his life was done to the fullest and with an intense love of his family and friends. This boy was definitely, a time bomb.
He is preceded in death by his father, Sherman Reed and survived by his son John Sherman Reed, his wife of 15 years Amanda Reed, brother Rod "Stinky" Crommet, his in laws Mary and John Gaither, and an immeasurable amount of chosen family.
