Annie Florence Koonce, age 92, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on Tuesday September 3, 2019. She was born November 3, 1926 in Madison County, Alabama to Ben and Myrtle Markham as one of seven siblings.
She is survived by one sister in law, several nieces and nephews and many special friends.
Florence met and married Arthur Koonce, spending many years with him until his passing in 2007. She had a successful career for many years with Montgomery Ward in Chicago, IL. Upon her retirement in 1986 she returned home to the Huntsville area.
A visitation for Florence will be held Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 6, 2019 at 10:00 AM, at the funeral home chapel with Brother Hal Howard, Winchester Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
