Carol Lee Turner, 70, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away Thursday January 22, 2015 at her daughter’s residence in Marietta, GA. Carol was born on January 27, 1944, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Owen R. and Sylvia Gilfillen Campbell. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at Klingel Carpenter Mortuary by the Rev. Karen Kidd Lovett. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM prior to the service. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters: Lucile Campbell, Grace Kaplan, Lola Qualls and Eleanor Smith, two brothers, Herman Campbell and Hershell Campbell, and an infant brother, Albert Campbell. She was a graduate of Huntington East High School, Class of 1961. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, James Edward Turner, two daughters and their spouses: Lisa and David Diaz of Marietta, GA and Jamie and Peter Lovett of Louisville, KY, two grandsons, Campbell Diaz and Turner Stapleton of Marietta, GA, three sisters, Eva Lively of Huntington, Martha Qualls of Milton, and Louise Nichols of Huntington, many nieces and nephews, and her canine companion Scout.
