Jerry A. Bartrom

Jerry A. Bartrom, 80 of Huntington passed away at 12:45 am on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Markle Health Care Center. Jerry had worked for Marsh for over 35 years. He coached Huntington County Baseball for several years. He was a member of Moose Lodge 837 and held all chairs at one point in time, Sons of the Legion and Clear Creek Senior Golf League. Jerry was an avid bowler and golfer. Jerry was born on July 7, 1938 in Huntington, the son of William and Nellie (Sands) Bartrom. He was united in marriage to Leilani Yount on December 21, 1957 in Warren, Indiana. Survivors include his wife: Leilani Bartrom of Huntington; two sons: Robert (Marlene) Bartrom of Huntington; Tracy (Mary Jane) Bartrom of Huntington; a daughter: Tammie (Jeff) Frederick of Huntington; two sisters: Phyllis (Marvin) Hall of Huntington; Dixie Cobb of Brunswick, GA; five grandchildren: Skydawn (Travis) Bickel of Huntington, Desiree Frederick of Huntington, Danielle (Matt) Johnson of Fishers, Kelsey (Steven) Cady of Angola, Jared Bartrom of Huntington and two great grandchildren: Melody Bickel and Hunter Bickel. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019 following visitation at 4:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
