Ellen M. Koughn Fisher

Ellen M. Fisher, 72 of Huntington, a resident of Norwoods Health and Rehabilitation, passed away late Friday evening, August 3, 2012 at the Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne. Ellen had worked at several Huntington businesses over the years, including, Schact Rubber, Memcor, Square D and most recently at Ponderosa. She was a member of the New Hope United Brethren Church. She formerly attended T.O.P.S. She enjoyed playing Bingo at the Salvation Army and the Senior Center. She was born on May 16, 1940 in Huntington the daughter of Everett E. and Rosie M. (Flaugh) Koughn. She was united in marriage to Spencer R. Fisher on April 28, 1962 in Uniondale. Her husband survives. Additional survivors include two daughters: Pamela Weaver and Riva Wohlford both of Huntington; a son: Daniel (Melody) Fisher of Ft. Wayne; 2 brothers: Fred Koughn of Tacoma, WA and Everett Koughn Jr. of Huntington; a sister: Betty Johnson of Uniondale. 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson who was born on the day of her passing. She was preceded in death by a brother: Richard Koughn and 3 sisters: Gladys Koughn, Ida Louise Reed and Berniece Moore. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at the New Hope United Brethren Church, 2001 Engle St., Huntington, IN 46750. Interment will be take place at a later date at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in rural Huntington County. In lieu of flowers Memorials can be made to the Family in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
