October 31, 2022 at Coventry Meadows in Fort Wayne. Paul lived out Philippians 1:21, “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain” in his leadership roles in the Church, ministerial education, and family, which he loved deeply. Paul was an ordained minister in the Church of the United Brethren in Christ and served churches in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. In 1972, he founded the Graduate School of Christian Ministries at Huntington University and taught theology and Bible for over 45 years.
Paul was born on December 12, 1933 in Celina, Ohio, the son of Norval Christian and Marguerite (Slusser) Fetters.
He was united in marriage to Barbara Ellen Mull on August 25, 1956 in Mariasville, Pennsylvania. Barbara survives.
Additional survivors include three sons: Brooks (Barbara) Fetters, Luke (Audrey) Fetters, Todd (Lisa) Fetters all of Huntington; eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 10:30 am with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the College Park United Brethren Church, 1945 College Ave., Huntington, Indiana.
Interment will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington.
