Dick D. “Dickie” Reed, 60, of Andrews passed away on December 21, 2021 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Dickie worked as a flooring installer for over 40 years. He also worked at Clark’s Auto Salvage for 10 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 248 in Lagro. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing golf. Dickie was an avid Miami Dolphins fan. He loved his grandchildren, his dogs and rabbits.
Dickie was born on July 28, 1961 in Wabash, Indiana, the son of Dick and Carolyn (Kilander) Reed.
Survivors include his fiancé: Tina Bradley of Andrews; daughter: Tabitha Redding of Fort Wayne, son: Billy Cooper of Huntington; daughter: Heather Cox of Marion, daughter: Jamie Hill of Huntington, daughter: Tiffany Bradley of Huntington, son: Jonathan Bradley of Andrews; his mother: Carolyn Allen of Huntington; three sisters: Kathy Follin of Huntington, Sherrie Vienneau of Orlando, FL, Patti Stabb of Brunswick, GA; 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father: Dick Reed and two stepfathers: Glen Stevens and Dick Allen.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. We will be following the CDC’s guidelines for Social Distancing and Social Gathering Limits.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 following visitation at 1:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Wally Morris officiating.
Interment will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
