David E. Spencer

David E. Spencer, 86 of Huntington passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Envive of Huntington. David was a graduate of Van Buren High School. He had worked for Scarborough Produce and later worked for Huntington Area Transportation as a driver for 18 years, retiring in 2012. David enjoyed watching sports, westerns and loved to travel; he was a foodie and was an extremely hard worker. David was born on May 7, 1936 in Marion, Indiana, the son of Robert and Mayme (Long) Spencer. He was united in marriage to Anita F. Green. Anita preceded him in death on July 9, 1992. Survivors include four sons: David Spencer, Joe Spencer, Chris Spencer, Randy Spencer; five daughters: Angel (Andy) Ware, Tara Garretson, Alicia (Jessie) Rameriz, Chantel (Chris Hess) Spencer, Melody Trotter; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son: Jon Spencer and a sister: Lois Jane Spencer. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
