Besonia Guy Wiley, 87 of Markle passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Guy was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in WWII as a radio operator. He worked as a truck driver at Markle Grain Elevator and Caphart Farms in Bluffton; he had later worked at Magnavox for 40 years. He was a volunteer scout master and enjoyed doing antique furniture repair. Besonia was a knife maker and made over 300 knifes in his life time. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, and gardening. Besonia was a cut throat card player and enjoyed spending time with his family. Above all else he was very proud of his grand children. Guy was born on April 11, 1926 in Liberty Center, the son of William and Mary (Hutchinson) Wiley. He was united in marriage to Delight Smith on April 26, 1947 in Markle. She preceded him in death on May 5, 2007. Survivors include a son: Ted Wiley of Huntington; a daughter: Mona (Ed) Beckner of Huntington and a sister: Iona Davis of Bluffton, Eleven grandchildren, 29 great grand children, and five great great grandchildren. Guy was preceded in death by a son Greg Wiley Visitation will be held on Monday March 24, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel located at 415 N. Lee St. Markle Indiana, 46770 Funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 25, 2014 at 10:00 am with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel Interment will be at the Markle Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made out to the Tipton House Bingo Fund in care of Myers Funeral Home
