Autum S. Garrett

Autum S. Garrett, 22 of Andrews passed away on July 9, 2017 in Ohio. Autum was a 2013 graduate of Huntington North High school. She worked at M&S Sheet Metal in Huntington. She was a member of Pointe Church in Fort Wayne. Autum was a wonderful mother who loved spending time with her two children. She enjoyed fishing, camping and tubeing. Autum was a good worker wherever she was employed. Autum was born on September 20, 1994 in Hamilton, Ohio, the daughter of Rodger and Melissa (Hamilton) Smith, Jr. She was united in marriage to Bryan Garrett on June 8, 2013 in Wabash. Her husband survives. Additional survivors include a son: Bryan Garrett, Jr.: a daughter: Layia Garrett both at home.; mother: Melissa (David Wilkins) Hamilton of Hamilton, OH; four brothers: Kyle Smith, Nathan Smith, Justin (Sasha) Hamilton, Michael Phillips all of Hamilton, OH; a sister: Ashley Smith of Hamilton, OH; Maternal grandparents: Wendell and Elaine Hamilton of Hamilton, OH; Paternal Grandparents: Rodger and Betty Smith of Marion; In-Laws: Max and Christina Garrett of Andrews; two brother-in-law’s: Max Garrett, Jr. and Alex Garrett both of Andrews. She was preceded in death by her father: Rodger Smith, Jr. and a maternal grandmother: Ginger Hamilton. Autum, as a child of eight asked Jesus Christ into her heart and life. During her childhood, Autum attended Sunday school, Church, Youth Groups, Church Camps and multiple vacation bible Schools. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Ray Harris officiating. Interment will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Andrews. Memorial donations can be made out to Bryan Garrett in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
