Joes hands were as big as a baseball mitts from hard work but his heart was bigger. He could never say no to a favor, having rescued all of children, relatives, and the occasional stranger from mechanical failures of all sorts. We don’t think he knew how to sit down.
He loved all little children, especially his many grandchildren. He loved to play with them and make them laugh. They adored him.
He was a kindhearted and gentle man with an amazing sense of humor. He never met a stranger who didn’t become an instant friend.
