Evelyn R. Bounds

Evelyn Ruth Bounds (nee Garges) was born on November 1, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA to parents, George Garges and Margaret Mary Garges (nee Herter).

Evelyn loved rock & roll music and dancing. As a child, she learned ballet and many other dances over the years, including the Waltz. She also played beautiful classical music on the piano. She loved swimming, going to the beach, and shopping on the boardwalk. In her earlier years, Evelyn had a green thumb and loved gardening. Her prized plants were her many orchids, and they were beautiful! Evelyn was also very passionate about raising and caring for exotic finch birds and salt water fish.

Evelyn loved to travel. Some of her favorite places she vacationed were the Bahamas, Alaska, Branson, MO, and Asheville, NC where she explored the Blue Ridge Mountains and Biltmore Estate. Evelyn also enjoyed reading, fast sports cars, horses, and going out to eat.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Alfred C. Bounds.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters Rita A. Landis of Trenton, FL and Shirley M. Honert (Eric) of Hilltown, PA, and her son, Alfred C. Bounds of Sellersville, PA. She was a loving grandmother to 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

A visitation for Evelyn will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Lamb Funeral Home Inc., 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania 19006. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 10:30 AM, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania 19006. An interment will occur Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Hillside Cemetery, 2556 Susquehanna Road, Abington, Pennsylvania 19001.
