Charlotte Koch

Charlotte was born on February 21, 1942 in Philadelphia, to parents, Edward Adolf Walter and Lottie Emma Ewert. She graduated from Olney High School in 1960. She met William Richard Koch through the Luther League at Tabor Lutheran Church and they married on April 27, 1963. She worked for a few years at a local book store, and went on to establish a career as an eye health technician at Tri County Eye Physicians and Surgeons until her retirement. Charlotte was an extremely active member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, working on the church council, bible study group, mission outreach committee, altar guild, and various charity programs. She enjoyed trips to the beach, visiting friends, taking photographs and making homemade cards for every occasion, and she was never without treats in her purse for whatever dog she visited. She loved family gatherings and traditions, baking cookies for every celebration.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Bill as well as her parents, Edward and Lottie. She is survived by her son William Richard Koch, Jr. (Artemis Velahos Koch) and grandchildren Natalie, Alexander and Olivia Koch; daughter Christine Marie Fissel (Brett Fissel).

The Life Tribute Service arrangements are scheduled for Friday, March 5, 2021, at Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, Family Visitation (immediate family only) is from 10:30-11:00AM. Public visitation (friends welcome) is from 11:00AM-12:00PM, immediately followed by the memorial service (indoor, immediate family only) 12:00-12:30PM and interment at Forest Hills Cemetery. A full memorial service and celebration of life will also be held at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church at a to-be-determined date.
