Kevin Dwight Daniels Sr. was born on May 1,1958 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Charles Daniels and Lozie Hodges. He attended the area public schools and later graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Shreveport, Louisiana.
In 1976, he proudly joined the United States Marine Corps and received an honorable discharge. In 2007, Kevin and Wynonia united in holy matrimony and enjoyed a blissful life of love and marriage until his passing.
He spent much of his adult life working various jobs but concluded the last 13 years working at Schlumberger and retired in October of 2019. He developed many friendships and acquaintances that have lasted his entire life. Blessed with a gregarious personality, he was a “people person” who enjoyed time spent with family and friends as his favorite pastimes.
He accepted Christ at an early age and later united with Calvary Way Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. B. E. Lewis. He served faithfully as a Minister of the Gospel until his health began to fail.
On October 23, 2020 Kevin Daniels departed this life. Preceded in death by his parents and Father-In-Law, James N. Henry.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Wynonia Daniels, six children: two daughters; Kesha Durant (Edward) and Danisha Henry, four sons; Kevin Daniels Jr, Darnell Daniels, Ethan Horton (Britany) and James Horton (Chandelier), nine grandchildren; Megan Malone, Madison Malone, McKenzie Malone, Jaylon Horton, Saniya Horton, Kylo Horton, Arielle Horton, Manessah Horton and Lila Joy Horton, one great-grandson; Kingston Flowers, three brothers; Bobby Wayne Hodges (Romella), Sean Ware (DeeDee) and Terry Ware, one sister; Kathy Ware, one great- aunt, Leona Jackson of Shreveport, Louisiana and a host of relatives and friends.
