Janet Ellen Lott, age 64, of League City, Texas passed away at home on Tuesday April 21, 2020, surrounded by loved ones. Janet was born to the late John Reber and Ellen Casey in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on February 23, 1956.
Janet will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, Kris Lott, siblings - Ronald Reber, Patricia Clifton and Leslie Smith, children - Mindy Whatley & husband Brad, Mary Walker & husband Jerry, Jim Lott, Bahiyyih Henderson & husband Dylan, Sharon Lott, and Cynthia Manis & husband Dylan, as well as 12 grandchildren.
As a child, Janet enjoyed spending time with her brother and sisters and taking care of her quarter horse, Sissy. Her children have fond memories of a loving and devoted mother who enjoyed singing, reading stories and had a knack for fun kitchen crafts. Janet possessed a kind heart and was loyal and steadfast in her service to the Baha'i Faith. She selflessly put her faith, family and community before herself.
It would be wrong to say Janet lost her battle with cancer, because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she never lost the determination to beat her illness. Through her, we know what faith, resilience and perseverance truly look like. Although she is no longer with us today, it doesn't mean she lost the fight. She has been rewarded with entry into Gods Divine Kingdom.
We will forever be grateful for her beautiful smile, gentle eyes, caring heart, loving embrace, and unconditional love. Even though our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate her life and are comforted knowing she is in heaven watching over us.
A graveside service for Janet will be held Friday, April 24, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338. Following the graveside service will be a committal service at 11:00 AM at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338.
