He was born in Carora, Venezuela of October 22, 1955. Athahualpa Franco graduated Colorado School of Mines with a Bachelor's Degree in Science and received a MBA from The University of Zulia.
He was married to Lizbeth Franco on March 6, 1982.
Atha had a career in metallurgical engineering for Unicon, Arcelormittal, Siderpro, BPCA among other for 40 years. He had a passion for painting, karaoke, horses, his career, the Denver Broncos and Houston Astros.
He was survived by his children Daniela Franco, Diego Franco, David Franco, and Desiree Franco, grandchildren Matias, Samantha, Giuliana, Gia, Sebastian, and Ela, his in-laws Edgar Simoni, Nahir Franco, Juliet Franco, and Chris Soltani.
A visitation for Atha will be held Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338, followed by a celebration of life from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
