I still can’t believe this and he was the same age I am. Taken too soon. I remember Phil from high school with his smile he always had and when him and Tammy ended up together it was beautiful. Tammy’s kindhearted personality and Phil’s big heart brought together as one. Seeing the beautiful family and memories you made over the years always made me smile.

I am at a loss for words but would like to express my sincere condolences and hope that all your beautiful memories and the support and love you give to each other  will help you through this difficult time.

It’s taken me awhile to send my condolences as I just couldn’t find any words. The pictures of Phil that everyone has shared is how I remember him too. Always smiling.

Tammy, Mac, and Brianna,

Your remarkable father and husband, was such a special person to be around. Since he joined the Club, he’s been nothing but a joy to be around and so gracious with his time and introducing us to his family (you!). Rolling into the parking lot and having Phil come up to me with a Corona-in-hand has been one of the highlights of my summer since I met him. And showing off his motorcycle and tractors to Connor, has been one of his! He’s left memories that we can all cherish forever.

C'est avec une grande tristesse que nous avons appris le décès de notre ancien voisin Phil de la rue de Sauternes. Phil était un homme remarquable, toujours sympathique et prêt à aider son prochain.

Je me souviens notamment d'une fois où il avait aidé un de ses amis à réparer la carrosserie de sa voiture. Il m'avait également dépanné en m'aidant à redémarrer ma souffleuse à neige. C'était un voisin d'une grande générosité et au grand cœur.

Nous sommes profondément attristés par son départ si soudain. Phil laissera un grand vide dans notre communauté.

Nous tenons à offrir nos plus sincères condoléances à sa famille et ses proches en ces moments difficiles. Sachez que vous êtes dans nos pensées.

Our deepest condolences,  sorry for your loss. very sad to hear about Phil,  we met while working at Hunter Engineering . Phil was always smiling, willing to give you a hand when needed, he will be missed.

So many cherished memories were made ,  but we're always left wanting more. Phil was such a one of a kind human, if you knew him, you know! Phil always saw the positive in life and in people, he always  found a way to make you feel so special when you were in his presence.  His smile lit up the room he'd walk into bringing along his  positive vibes which you could feel when he was around. I could go on with stories and how unique and wonderful Phil was to so many that had the privilege of knowing him .  But I'll save those for a later date by a bonfire and beers! Phil my friend you will never be forgotten and you will live on  in our hearts and memories! Till we meet again, sending love to all that has lost this #1 stand up guy. I first met Phil at the cottage in Val Des Montes QB the summer my dad passed away. He was on a floaty at the end of our dock and greeted me with such a heart warming smile. He told me what an amazing man my father was and how much he'd be missed and offered me a beer. I felt we have been friends ever since. The summers of yummy pig roasts that he would host and all the hospitality he showed me when I was a new motorcycle rider. He and Tammy welcomed me in their home and we rode around the Champlain Mountains, Parliament and country roads together. 

I'm so fortunate to have met Phil Thibodeau along my life's path. He left positive impacts wherever he went. I will miss seeing his smile at the lake, his friendship and our motorcycle adventures together. My deepest condolences to the family and friends who have lost this wonderful man too soon in life. He was a true hero and legend. My thoughts are with you. ❤️ - Sabrina

When I was in school with Briana, there was one day where there was a shooting at Parliment and the school was under a lock down, all of my friends were getting picked up from school by their parents or they were busing directly home after school and their parents were home. I was taking the bus alone and walking home alone without my parents home and I was so so scared to go (I was young so I thought the shooter would come from me) I remember my name being called up and I was told someone was here to pick me up. It was Phil. He came to get me from school since my parents were stuck in Ottawa, he came with donuts for the front desk workers since he knew they were overwhelmed with the calls from parents. Phil was a good man, I remember how happy I was to see him and remember seeing his kindness and it has stuck with me ever since. I am so so sorry for your loss, he will be missed extremely ❤️❤️

To the Thibodeau/Nelson family, 
On April 6th, 2024 you lost a hero until you will meet again, but you've also gained an angel for eternity. Heartfelt thoughts go out to all of Phil's loved ones in this time of sorrow. 
Queen Elizabeth II once said "Grief is the price we pay for love." 
May you each find comfort, love and support amongst one another and find joy in all the beautiful memories he left behind.

My condolences to the family. 
Phil was a great guy. I remember running into Phil years after high school one day. As soon as he saw me, he had a huge smile on his face, came over to say hello, and asked how I was. Phil was someone that you could count on, lean on, depend on. Taken too soon but he will not be forgotten. His smile and caring spirit is one that will always be remembered.
Thank you Phil, you rest easy now.

We are so very saddened by this loss to your family and friends.  Beautiful comforting memories have been shared by all over the weeks leading up to Phil's passing and I'm certain they will continue for a long time to come.  Phil is not a personality that anyone will soon forget.  Love to all.

Every time I visited he sent me home with a new set of memories!  I think this is the day Serena asked Phil why he had hair on his belly button.   He always made sure everyone had fun! I'm so sorry for your loss.  I love you all!

Norm, Sharon, Alfie,  I wish to send my deepest condolences on the loss of your son & brother Philip. He was taken away from you way too early in life. No one should have to suffer the pain I know you are going through at this time.  Just know the pain will never go away but it will get easier to handle as time passes on.
