Ramiro Reyna, 76 of Modesto, passed away February 15th 2018. He was born in Loredo Texas on May 26th 1941. He will now be reunited with his beloved wife Sara. They married on June 10th 1961 and they will now rest in peace at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson, California.
Ramiro had a career as a mechanic for the city of Manteca, California, and he loved painting and working on neighborhood vehicles at home. He also had an honorary career as a Pepsi connoisseur and his high roller status at kitchen table cards could leave you a couple nickels shy of a candy bar. Ramiro enjoyed hosting family and friends to watch the latest and greatest football games or fights. If you were down on your luck, Ramiro would give you the shirt off his back and wouldn’t judge you on your road to recovery. Family time was Ramiro’s favorite time, and time was this gentle soul’s only foe.
Ramiro Reyna was survived by his children Ramiro Jr., Ernesto, Albert, Johnny, Andy, and Cynthia. They will remember their father for his unwavering love of their mother, his unconditional love for his children, his extremely generous heart, and his goofy personality that could always generate a smile. His 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren already miss his love and laughter; however they will carry on in honor of his cherished memory.
Ramiro’s celebration of life and rosary will take place Monday, February 26th from 4:00-8:00 PM at Lakewood’s chapel. Funeral services will be held at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Ceres, Tuesday, February 27, at 10:00 AM immediately followed by burial services at 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, California 95326.
