Margaret Anne Longacre, age 96, of Fresno, California passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023. Margaret (Sally) Longacre was born in Elgin, Illinois, on January 30, 1927. She grew up in Elgin, graduated from Nursing School, and then married Paul Longacre who brought her out to live in California. She lived primarily in Lindsay, Fresno and Modesto raising a family and serving in her church. She also worked at Fresno Community Hospital and Longs/CVS, and met many people who truly became life-long friends.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, May 6, at 11:00 am, with a reception to follow. It will be held at Geneva Presbyterian Church in Modesto. Margaret is survived by her children - son Steve and daughter Jeanne.
