Linda Sue Weaver was called to her Heavenly Home on June 5, 2020 at 5:16 am while both of her daughters were holding her hands and telling her how very much she was loved. Linda was a firm believer in Jesus and we know that she is celebrating in Heaven today with all those that she loved that went before her. We know without a doubt that her heavenly reunion was a beautiful gathering full of love.
Linda was born in Henryetta, Oklahoma on September 19, 1945 to Robert and Thelma Humphreys. Linda was their youngest child and the only girl of five children, and as such she was showered with love and affection from her family. Linda moved with her family to Salida, California in 1949 at the age of 4. She attended Salida Elementary and Middle School and then Modesto High School where she graduated in 1963. Linda lived in Modesto, California for over 45 years and during that time was a cook at Casa de Modesto retirement home for over 35 years. She made many lifelong friends during those years before her retiremen.
Linda was a true friend, keeping friendships for decades, even from early childhood, she was funny and engaging and always had a smile on her face. Linda is survived by her loving daughters and son-in-laws, Cindy and Vito Baccellieri and Darla and Alex Zuroff. She is also survived by her three adoring grandchildren who were the light of her life, Kayla (Mark) DeKraker, Cory Brown and Megan Baccellieri. Linda's proudest achievements in life were her family, especially her grandchildren whom she loved without measure. Linda is also survived by her loving brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Ella Humphreys as well as many nieces and nephews. Linda was proceeded in death by her father, Robert Humphreys, her beautiful mother, Thelma (Henson) Humphreys and three of her brothers and sister-in-laws, Bob and LZ Humphreys, Lloyd and Virginia Humphreys and John and Mona Humphreys.
Linda loved watching Hallmark movies and could tell you the details about many of them at any given time. She loved crafts and creating lovely gifts for her family and friends as well as talking for hours on the phone to her many lifelong friends. Linda also loved her cats, especially her current 15 year old cat named Lucy.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 from 4:00 - 5:00 pm and Linda's funeral service will be on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 10:00 am both at Lakewood Funeral Home and Memorial Park located at 900 Sante Fe Avenue, Hughson, California.
