Kevin is survived by his spouse of 33 years, Stephanie Carver, son Mason (Jayda Cissell) Carver, daughters Marissa (Blake) Wall and Megan (Nick) Newman, his mother Linda Carver and his grandchildren Reagan, Ryleigh and Colston.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father Robert Carver.
Kevin lived in the Modesto area his entire life and graduated from Thomas Downey High School where he played football, was on the wrestling team and started bull riding in high school rodeo. This is also where he started dating Stephanie at the age of 15.
Kevin attended college in Arizona and received his degree in Electronics. Shortly after graduating, he started his career at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in July of 1988 and worked there for 34 years. He married Stephanie that same year and they bought their first home in Modesto in 1989. Kevin and Stephanie raised three children, Megan, Mason and Marissa in the Modesto, Waterford and Hughson area and were baptized members of the Waterford Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Kevin was known for his gentle and sincere nature and warm smile. If you were lucky enough to be in his inner circle, it was his humor and wit that kept you laughing. It was often said that Kevin did not say a lot, but when he did, you listened, because it was always something you wanted to hear.
Kevin was a lifelong Raiders fan and attended multiple games at the Oakland Coliseum and recently went to a Las Vegas Raiders game with his son Mason. He was a lover of Star Wars and Elvis and often said he wanted “Peace in the Valley” by Elvis, played at his funeral.
Kevin enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and pontoon boating with family and friends on Lake Don Pedro. This lake had so much meaning being this was where his parents, brother Ronnie and sister Donna, spent most summers houseboating and water skiing.
Stephanie and Kevin spent the last several years traveling and checking off bucket list adventures. They both became PADI certified scuba divers and spent several weeks in Hawaii diving the coast of Oahu.
If you knew Kevin, then you knew that nothing was more important to him than his wife, children, and three grandchildren. He loved his family fiercely and was always his happiest when with them.
Thank you so very much for the outpouring of prayers, love and support. Losing Kevin has been a very painful experience and your loving sympathy in this difficult time has been felt and appreciated by all of the Carver family.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” John 11:25
