A year has passed without you. The loss is something our family will never move on from. As the days have passed, I think of you often. Some days are worse than others.
I think of what it must have been like for you in those last few moments. Nothing could have prepared you for that. It just seems so unfair. 
The reality is, time doesn’t heal. We just learn how to live with the loss and the hurt.
This year is just the first of many. I hope you know how much we love and miss you. You will forever be in our hearts, John.

Uncle John, you will be forever in our hearts. You will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace Joni. This road by your home will forever haunt us, but this memorial will always represent our love for you.  We miss you. Your family loves you. I’m so sorry Uncle John, I’m so sorry. 

As a family friend, John was one of the nicest people I ever met.
He was a gentle and passionate soul. He will be remembered  by those whose lives he touched and by those closest to his heart.

John you will always be missed everyday. I remember your smile and you playing with Tyler the love you gave to people in your life. Enjoy Heaven see you soon

  I am still in such shock from this nightmare we will never wake from. This tragedy has not become reality, and the pain may never be relieved. 
The memories you have left so many will however never be forgotten. I am so blessed to have called you my brother in law, and your nephews and niece to have had you as their Uncle JoJo. 
Always playing with the kids outside, rocking them on the teeter totter, fishing with Tyler, playing catch with Tatum, shooting hoops with Anthony when he was just a little guy.  Always making sure they were enjoying fresh air and the outdoors, teaching them your talent in sports. 
Your passion and talent in sports never went unnoticed, every coach knew the Younan name and expected Johns brothers to play as well as he did in both tennis and soccer. You passed that talent to your baby brother Tony who kept that legacy going, and will always remember everything his big brother taught him and his great talent. 
 Tony and I could always count on you without hesitation when we needed help with anything, you would help any way you could. Even if it was getting my arm out of the jam in the couch or removing my upside down fish in the tank.  Oh those funny moments have made great memories! 
 Your love for horror films was passed down to your daughter who introduced them to your nieces who can’t get enough of them. Along with your love for music and Tyler always wanted the station tuned to “The Hawk”
 Your love for your daughter Jennifer would beam on your face, she was your greatest accomplishment and everyone could see that. 
 John your smile will never be forgotten, your laugh 
will always be heard, and our memories are 
tattooed in our hearts ❤️. You will always be loved and forever missed!! Rest In Heaven Johnny and Enjoy Heaven, I will see you soon John!
