James Michael Radcliffe

He leaves behind his adoring wife of fifty years; Joanne Radcliffe, an older brother; Jerome Radcliffe, dear brother-in-law;

Lou Naclerio, dear sister-in-law; Esther Staley, five children; Robin (Robert) Worley, James P. (Amy) Radcliffe, Michael

(Laura) Radcliffe, Catherine (Ronald) Birdsong, Barbara (Michael Skinner) Radcliffe, fourteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; Frank and Anne Radcliffe,

older sister; Maureen Roxbee and beloved kid-sister; Alana Naclerio.

He was born in Hartford, Connecticut and as a young man, worked on the railroad with his uncle until he joined the U.S. Army. He proudly served his country from August 1957 to June 1960 and was honorably discharged. Shortly thereafter, he met and wed his lifelong love, Joanne. He worked as a floor-covering journeyman for thirty-one years until his retirement in 1995. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and playing cards with family and friends. He attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church regularly and by volunteering his time and tending to the votive candles, he became affectionately known as "The Candle Man." We will forever hold you close in our hearts and never forget the endearing love and joy you brought to our lives.

A special thanks to all our dear friends who visited and made him smile, the nurses and staff of Community Hospice for the wonderful care provided and to our parish priests who attended to his many questions and spiritual needs.
