Herlinda was born October 6th, 1937 in Frontera Coahuila, Mexico to Agapito Franco Cervantes and Carolina Cisneros Cervantes. Growing up close to her Aunt Panchita and taking care of her siblings, Herlinda valued family second only to God. A devout Catholic, she remained faithful through the end of her life. She is reunited with her husband Richard Parra after 21 long years and son Timothy Parra after 42 years. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Pedro Cervantes, Jesus “Chuey” Cervantes, Carlos Cervantes, Jaime Cervantes, Raul Cervantes, and Rosalva Vargas. She is survived by her children Richard Parra, Stephen Parra, Sylvia Parra, and Robert Parra; siblings Carolina Ortiz, Frank Cervantes, and Mary Guerrero; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and others whom she loved like her children.

Viewing will take place at Lakewood Funeral Home on October 7th from 4pm to 8pm; rosary to start at 6pm.
Services will take place at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on October 8th at 10am. Burial and reception to follow at Lakewood Funeral Home.
