Bobby was a retired military person, serving in the Army on the front line of the Korean War. After discharging from the Army, he joined the Navy and was deployed to Vietnam three different times. He retired from military service in 1975.
He came home to Hickman, CA and worked for Burns Security Company. Bobby remained here for a year until he moved back to New Mexico. He worked for several security companies as a security guard, until he retired in 2008.
Bobby moved back to Turlock, CA and resided there until his death. He lived at Lifespring Retirement Center where he was dearly loved by all staff and he loved them as well. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Modesto until his health prevented him from driving anymore.
Bobby lived a full and meaningful life.
He is survived by his son Dennis (Carolyn) of St. Jacob, Ill., brother Donald, Ralph (Melba) of Galt, CA, sisters, Doris Merriam of Hughson, CA and Gail (Chris) Andaverde of Delhi, CA, a stepdaughter Pam (Dan) Rienke of Los Lunas, N. Mexico, nine grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Bobby was preceded in death by his wife Lucille, a son Ricky Joe, parents Don & Delora, Brothers; Eugene, Albert, and Charles, and a sister Nadene Kitchens.
He loved and lived life to the fullest and will be missed by all.
