André Philson Thompson

Andre Philson Thompson was born on September 12, 1982 to John Philson Thompson and Andrea Thompson in the city of Modesto CA. At an early age, Andre was introduced to the Lord while attending Greater True Light Baptist Church.

As a child Andre attended elementary school at Christine Sipherd Elementary and attended middle school at Teel Middle School, both located in Modesto, CA. Andre went on to attend Peter Johansen High School in Modesto, CA, graduating in 2000. He continued his academic journey by attending Modesto Junior College, Modesto, CA. and transferring to Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA.

After attending Southern University, Andre returned to the city of Modesto. While residing in Modesto he became an accomplished car salesman during his employment at Manteca Dodge. He was also a beloved Fitness Trainer at In-Shape Health Clubs in Modesto, CA and Bally's Total Fitness in Fresno. Andre spent a portion of his adult life in the city of Las Vegas where he worked as a loan officer and remained active in the Fitness Industry.

Andre eventually returned to Modesto, CA. and upon his returned he gained a desire to grow and develop his relationship with Jesus Christ. The most recent memories of family and friends are of his zeal for sharing with others the goodness of God. Andre was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, July 9, 2023.

Andre's memory is continued in love by his Father, John Philson-Thompson; Mother, Andre Thompson; Brother and Sister-in-law, John Philson-Thompson and Keisha Fifer-Thompson; Nieces, Nyah and Naelani Thomspon; Great Aunts, Gloria Dean-Lee, Evelyn Johnwell, and Betty Hayden; Uncle, Gerald Turner; Aunt and Uncle, Dewanna Gail-Griffin and Harry Griffin Sr. ; Aunts, Valentina Thompson, Cherril Thomspon; along with a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.

Andre goes on to join his Great-Grandfather, John Wesley Philson;Grandfathers, Golie Turner and John D. Thompson; Grandmothers, Marian Turner and Edna Mae Graham; Uncles, Larry Turner and Daryl Philson Sr.; Aunts, Rebecca Turner and Johnell Thompson; and Nephew, Keyshawn Philson Thompson.
