Donald P. Snyder, 77, of Hudson, Florida passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014. He was born in Cheektowaga, New York on August 29, 1936 to Edward and Florentine Snyder. He moved to the Hudson area from Orchard Creek, New York in 1976. Donald is a member of the Christian Faith and attended Lakeview Baptist Church in New Port Richey. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He developed a successful career as an auto body repairman, from which he had retired.
Donald is remembered by his family as a loving man who cherished his family. He is also remembered by family and friends as being willing to lend a helping hand to anyone without expecting anything in return. He served as a mentor to many young people, sharing with them his many talents and skills, one of which was his vast knowledge of auto body repair. His main hobbies were hunting, fishing, and spending time in the outdoors.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Patricia Snyder; his daughters, Constance Snyder of New Port Richey, Dawn Billings of Hudson, and Renea Rainey (Elvis) of Hudson; his siblings- all of whom live in Western New York- Ellen Pintowski, Richie Snyder, Peter Snyder, Thomas Snyder, Sharon Landahl, David Snyder, Tina Wienckowski, and John "Jackie" Snyder; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
