David R Evans Jr.

David R. Evans Jr. , 85 of Port Richey, Fl, passed away on June 14th. He was born in Buffalo, New York, and moved to the Port Richey area in 1983 from Farmingdale, Long Island. He was a proud veteran of WWII, and had served in the U.S. Army –Air Force serving in the Philippines, Okinawa, in Japan. He is a member of the V F W with more than 60 years. He also served as Past President of the Republic Assistance Fund and was a member of Republic Golf League as well as Bowling on the Republic Varsity League. He played as a Quarterback at South Park High school in Buffalo, New York, and was a graduate of the University of Bridgeport. Mr. Evans was a Mason with 60 years as a member and was an employee with Fairchild-Hiller Republic Aviation in Farmingdale, Long Island, for over 32 years. Mr. Evans is survived by his sons, David R. Evans III, and Glenn Evans, his daughter, Diane Lehman, and 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
