Willie Mae Outley Jones was born on January 8, 1926 in Alief, Texas. She was next to the youngest of the eleven children born to the union of Parthenia and David Outley, Sr. Willie Mae was proceeded in death by her husband, Dave; parents, ten siblings, and granddaughter.
As an adolescent, she moved to Houston, Texas and continued her schooling in HoustonISD. Willie Mae is a proud graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. After high school, she went to work to help her family.
As a young adult, Willie Mae was a faithful member at St. John on Dowling. On August 19, 1959, she married the love of her life Dave Jones. Later, Willie Mae joined New Zion Temple Holiness Church in 1960 under the leadership of the late Bishop H. W. Falls. She remained a faithful member until her health declined.
Willie Mae enjoyed feeding others and began cooking in the kitchen at the church.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories her daughter Heleane (Leroy), 5 grandchildren: David, Solandra, Karen, Tyrone (Lolita), and Leroy V; 10 great grandchildren: Shanae (David), Ja’Troy “Boobie”, Marquise “Keke” (Dominick), Jasmine, Karnesha, Thomara (Aretavious), Tierra (Keelyn), Delbria, Jaylah, and Jaylon; and 9 great great grandchildren: Ja’Torrian, Isaiah, Anthony, Ja’Terrick, Ja’Liyah, Ja’Terrion, Milan, Dakota, and Willow; 3 godchildren: Dave Jones, Charline Jackson, and Sharline Reeves; and a host of extended family members and friends.
