William Samuel (Sammy) Thompson, Jr. passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016 in Tomball, Texas. He was born June 26, 1959 in Houston, Texas to Jessie Bell and William Samuel Thompson, Sr. Sammy was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved Boston Terrier, Minnie (Piggy). He is survived by his loving and devoted sister, Sue Thompson. Sammy was employed as a dispatcher at the Harris County Sheriff Department for 26 years. He was known as an avid gambler who loved sports betting, the horses and playing Texas Hold’em. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 22nd from 3-9 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 23rd at 11 AM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
