William Taft Smith

William Taft Smith aged 81, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024. He was a beloved father, husband, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

William was born on June 11, 1943, in Chester, Pennsylvania, where he spent his formative years. He attended Chester Upland School District and later became a Production Specialist at Chrysler Motors in Newark, DE from 1970-1990. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others.

But more than anything, William was a devoted father. He loved spending time with his children, sharing stories, and attending their sporting events. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced. In his free time, William enjoyed his music, fishing, the casino, sports, and traveling. He was always eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others.

William T. Smith is preceded in death by his parents; father, William T. Smith, Sr. and mother, Edith (Perrigan) Smith; his brother, Joseph Smith; his sisters, Emma Townsend, Evelyn Jackson, Margaret Wilmac, Edith Graham; and his great-grand­daughter Kayli Peters. William is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Smith; his children, Cheryl Smith, William T. Smith III, Damon Smith , and Patricia (Smith) Warren; his 4 grandchildren, his 8 great-grandchildren, and his 2 great-great-grand­children. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

A visitation for William will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088, The funeral service will immediately followed from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
