On September 19, 1951, a blessed baby boy was born to the proud parents of Delores Williams and Williams Edward Cooley, Sr. in New Orleans, Louisiana. They named him William Edward Coley, Jr. He attended the public schools of New Orleans, Louisiana and completed his education in Sacramento California. Confessing his faith at an early age, William was baptized at First Pilgrim Baptist Church in New Orleans where he served on the usher board under the pastoral ship of Reverend Eugene Mitchell. William, after moving to Humble, Texas became a faithful member of the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church “The Luke”, under the leadership of Pastor Timothy Sloan.
William was a truck driver for River Parish Disposal Company for many years until his retirement. He meet the love of his life, Dianne Marie Daggs and were joined as one on November 21, 1989. William loved passing time by watching his favorite TV show, Judge Mathis, wrestling and sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Diane, one son, William E. Cooley, III, one sister, Renette Williams, one brother, Ivan Robinson, Sr., three grandchildren and four godchildren as well as a host of additional relatives and friends.
