Wayne Dobbs

Wayne A. Dobbs, passed away on March 5, 2013 in Houston at the age of 71. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and a retired Pipefitter of Local 211 and Bayer Corp. Wayne was born and raised in Houston, by his parents: Woodrow & Jane Dobbs, who preceded him in death. Wayne is survived by his wife of 49 years, Verna (Brewer) Dobbs; daughter, Kay Cruz and husband Julio; son, Stephen Dobbs and wife Lydia; grandchildren: Eric Cruz, Joshuah and Matthew Dobbs; sisters: Nancy Sharp and husband John and Sue Dobbs; niece, Debra Sharp; nephew, Steve Sharp; along with other relatives and many friends. Wayne will be remembered for his love of hunting and taking his wife fishing. He loved his grandchildren. He enjoyed taking Eric riding in the jeep around the backyard and taking Joshuah and Matthew fishing; he couldn’t fish for keeping their lines baited. Visitation will be from 12PM until the start of the Funeral service at 2PM on Friday, March 8th at Brookside. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
