Wanda Jewel McShane Crawford, age 78, of Magnolia, Texas passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023. Wanda was born November 26, 1944 in Huntsville, Texas to parents Robert Odom McShane and Annie Blanch Hayes. She was one of four children: sisters, Sharon Rackly, Kathy Hightower and brother, Lynn McShane.
She graduated from Huntsville High School in 1964. She moved to Houston graduation night and started working at Sears. She met the love of her life at the Tasty Freeze in Huntsville. She married Larry Coy Crawford in 1964, and together they welcomed one child, Kimberly Dawn.
Wanda enjoyed watching her husband and daughter play softball. She had a passion for the Astros, and spending time with her family. Wanda's favorite holiday was Easter, and she loved Elvis Presley and George Strait.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years Larry Crawford; parents, Robert Odom McShane and Annie Blanch Hayes; and nephew, Trent Hudson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Kimberly Moynahan (Dan); grandchildren, Madisson Moynahan, and Matthew Austin Coy Moynahan; brother, Lynn McShane (Gina); sisters, Sharon Rackly (Louis), and Kathy Hightower; nephews, Sonny McShane, Danny Ray Hudson, Kevin Glaesman (Angie), Grady O'Bannon (Sunshine), Bob Hayes Jr. (Regina), and Mike Hudson; nieces, Amy McShane, Lisa McShane, Leslie Crum, Jamie Brown, Kristie Sturgeon, and Lacy Hudson.
A visitation for Wanda will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 17, 2023 at 2:00 PM. A burial will occur Friday, February 17, 2023 at Brookside Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers are Dan Moynahan, Matt Moynahan , Grady O'Bannon, Nick Gleasman, Brooks Harrison, Danny Ray Hudson, Kyle Burleson, Sonny McShane, Bob Jr. Hayes, Mark Johnson and Kevin Gleasman.
