Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Walter S. Evans, Jr., passed away on August 2, 2018, at his home in Houston, Texas at the age of 90.
Walter was a proud veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II. He served on the USS Hopewell and was the 3rd ship into Tokyo Bay at the surrender of Japan. After his service in the Navy, Walter went on to work at Humble Oil in the Conroe Field and Puffer-Sweiven where he worked for 25 years as a Sales Representative for the company. He then went on to found W.E. Enterprises, Inc., a commercial Real Estate firm, where he worked in Houston and the surrounding areas for over 25 years with a focus on land deals.
Walter was a hardworking, big-hearted man who always put his family first. He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed being with his horses and cows.
Walter is survived by his wife of 70 years, Renee Evans, his son Walter S. Evans, III (Rip) and wife Nikki Evans, his son Roy David Evans and wife Linda Evans, along with four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
