Virginia F. Taylor born on January 9, 1916, passed away on July 5, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents Angie K. Mitchell and J.M. Mitchell; sister, Pauline Saunders, Louise Pope; brother, Ernest Mitchell; husband, Burl Taylor; son, Gordon L. Curtis. She is survived by and will be missed by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, extended loving family and friends. Virginia was a dedicated and loyal member of Oakwood United Methodist Church and was active in helping with religious celebrations, bookkeeping and numerous activities. She worked at Phelps Dodge as their bookkeeper for many years and retired in 1973. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Angels of Elmcroft of Lake Jackson and also Altus Hospice House for their care and compassion they gave and showed to Aunt Bib.
