Victor was born on February 25, 1962 in Manila, Philippines to Clemente Gianan Ignacio and Emeteria Aguilar-Temilloso Ignacio. He graduated from Alief Hastings High School with Cum Laude honors. After his graduation, he worked for Horvitz Research for a couple of years. He then worked for Fluor Engineering from 1980-1985 as a piping designer. In the late 80s, Victor worked for Simon Eastern as a Computer Aided Drafting Checker. Victor then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Georgia State University in December 1991. He also minored in Computer Information Systems. Victor was known for his analytical skills, attention to detail and was an avid mathematician. He also enjoyed being a math tutor for several high school and college students both in Houston, Texas and in Clarkston, Georgia. Victor enjoyed spending time with his family, loved going to the movies, listening to music, singing karaoke, playing chess and other board games with his brothers, and savored food from a variety of cuisines, his favorites being Filipino, Chinese and Mexican. Victor was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his brothers, Rene and Marlon Ignacio, sister Gilda Ignacio Dimayuga (husband Patrick Dimayuga), his nieces, Kimberly Winfree and Madeline Dimayuga (husband Austin Howell), grand nephew Liam Winfree and a host of other cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and extended family and friends. He will be so greatly missed by all who knew him.
A visitation for Victor will be held Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM (Rosary at 10:30AM) at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM and the committal service will be at 12:00 PM. Reception to follow: Venue to be announced.
If you are able to attend on Sunday for the visitation/funeral/burial services, we ask that everyone wear Hawaiian attire to signify that he is now enjoying paradise. Victor’s favorite color was also navy/midnight blue.
