Vella Mae Whisenant, born June 26, 1921 in Houston, TX, passed away July 16, 2011 in Pearland, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Erna Ansohn; husband, Coleman Whisenant; brother, John Ansohn; sister, Velma Schroeder; and daughter, Priscilla Danely. Vella is survived by her daughters, Pat Danley and Pauline Brannon; grandchildren, Charles Danley, Ray Danley, I.J. Danley, Kyle Danley, Leslie Danley Hamberg, and Shana Allen; and 8 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
