

Ulmer joined the US Navy in 1943 serving his country in World War II on the USS Crittenden. He was a proud member of the Houston Scottish Rite of Freemasonry for over 50 years. After retiring from the Lone Star Cement Corporation he enjoyed his retired life by doing woodwork.
Ulmer was known for his sense of humor and his love for life which were both contagious. He enjoyed playing cards, working in his yard, and spending time with his family. He was also well known for playing Santa Claus and he truly embodied his jolly and joyful spirit.
He is survived by his sons, John Michael Hewett, wife Genoyce of Tool, Tx., Clyde Randle Hewett, wife Karen of Pasadena, Tx., and one daughter Eva Hewett Duke and husband Cecil of Porter, Tx.
Bo had seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He also left a loving brother in law, Rex Moser of Pasadena.
The family will receive friends Wednesday January 6, 2016 at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Houston, Texas 77023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Thursday January 7, 2016 at 11:00 am also at Forest Park Lawndale. The interment will follow via an escorted cortege at Forest Park Lawndale.
