Tressie Jane Cobb Grasshoff left this life to join her Heavenly Father on June 25, 2021. She was born in Normangee, Texas, on December 29, 1924. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Alvin Grasshoff; children Wayne Hunt and Sondra Grasshoff; parents Ambrose and Sarah Morgan Cobb; sisters Mary Cobb Baise and Lois Cobb Hill; brothers Lester Cobb, Bracy Cobb, John Cobb, Grady Cobb and Jeff Cobb. She is survived by her son Richard Grasshoff (Nancy Grasshoff), daughters Rhonda Cox (Don Cox), Jana Lovercheck and Glenna Grasshoff, along with 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jane lived her life sharing her love for the Lord, Jesus Christ; sharing love and laughter with her family; and loved gardening. She was a huge Astros fan and would ask daily what time the game is today. She would talk baseball with children and grandsons and always would give her opinion of the day-to-day management of the team.
A celebration service will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas 77023, on Friday, July 2, 2021. Public Viewing/Visitation: 11 am-12 pm; Funeral Service: 12 pm; Graveside: 1 pm.
