Thomas Otto Presswood Jr. , wonderful husband and father, passed away August 13, 2014, at the age of 93. He was born in Houston, Texas to Thomas O. Presswood and Sadie Presswood on April 11, 1921. He was very accomplished and completely unforgettable. Tom graduated from Reagan High School at the age of 15 and attended The University of Texas. After his service in World War II, he graduated with honors from The University of Houston.
Tom served in World War II as a test pilot in The United States Air Force. He was an intermediate instructor in Frederick, Oklahoma and he attended Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was Vice President of Pyrofax Oil and Gas., President of Nasau Bay Development, and owner of Dolphin Marine Electronics Supply Company. He was on numerous boards and he achieved two lifetime memberships to The Houston Chamber of Commerce. He taught the adult Sunday School class at Chapelwood Church for many years.
Tom loved snow skiing in Aspen, boating on Lake Travis, and sailing his Pearson 32 on Galveston Bay. He especially loved golf. He was the oldest living past President of The Houston Golf Association. He was also a member of Pine Forest Country Club for over 30 years. On his retirement, he built a home in Lakeway, where he played golf every day with “the old man’s group.”
He is survived by his loving wife, Trudy Presswood, whom he married on April 11, 1939, and with whom he shared a glorious life full of fun and laughter. He is also survived by son, Dr. Ronald G. Presswood and wife Judy; son, Thomas L. and wife Karen; daughter, Cheryl Tamborello and husband Joe; grandchildren, Dixon Schultz and husband Brian, Ronald G. Presswood Jr. and wife Barbie, Richard Kulikowski, Jacqueline Presswood, Rebecca Harris and husband Leighton; and wonderful great-grandchildren, Dylan, Tyler and Ryan Presswood, and Austin Schultz.

A celebration of Tom’s Life will be held at Chapelwood Methodist Church in the chapel, located at 11140 Greenbay Street, Houston, Texas, 77024, on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
