Susan Ann Vollenweider was born in New Orleans on July 11, 1952. She passed on to eternal life on June 29, 2022. Susan grew up in the New Orleans area and graduated from Mount Carmel High School. She moved to the Houston area when she was a teenager and worked for Zales Jewelry for many years. Despite her physical challenges, Susan was able to work, attend concerts and sporting events, and go to just about any special event that she could - many times getting there on her bike! She also faithfully attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and every year made it her mission to canvas the neighborhood to collect money for her favorite charity, March of Dimes. Susan's life is a paragon of perseverance and overcoming life's obstacles, however great. For those who knew her, she leaves behind a great legacy of her example. She will truly be missed by all.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Jo Vollenweider, and brother, Gary Vollenweider. She is preceded in death by her father Lawrence Vollenweider, sister Cynthia Vollenweider and brother Lawrence Vollenweider.
