Stephen Jones

Stephen Jones, 67, of Houston, Texas, passed away on July 22, 2022. He was born in Houston, Texas on August, 06, 1954 to parents Norma Spoonemore and James Jones. Stephen had a career as a truck driver most of his adult life. He had a passion for fishing, hunting, dancing and singing.

Stephen was definitely the life of the party or gathering. He was extremely stubborn and outspoken but would show a gentle side with his grandchildren. There was never a dull moment with Stephen around. He loved the simple life...old western shows, Bruce Lee movies, Dr. Pepper, sweet tea, snack cakes and his family. If he had that, he was happy.

He is preceded in death by: Shelia Jones (wife), Norma Jones (mother), James Jones (father), Patricia Stewart (sister), and Joyce Chandler (sister).

He is survived by: his children Kristi Pernal & husband Jeff, Jami Brewer & husband Jason, Hope Brooks & husband Danny, and Stephen Scott, Mike Jones & wife Linda (brother), and Louise Zahn & husband Buddy (sister). 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Karis Marie Gibbs, she was not only his granddaughter but caregiver. She stepped up when needed at anytime. Your mom and I could not have done all that we did without you over the last few years.
