Stanley Wayne Newman Jr, age of 57, passed away June 27, 2016 to be with the Lord. He is survived by his beautiful, loving wife, Karen, his beautiful daughters who he cherished, Kathryn, Kristien, and Kendyll. A beautiful granddaughter Kamryn. His wonderful son-in-law who he was honored to have in our family, Clay Hoffpauir. His father, Stanley W Newman, superseded him in death, his mother, Ellen Newman, and sisters Ruby Pullen and brother in law John, Robin Newman, and Tami Newman.
Wayne was born in Fort Fairfield, Maine while his father honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He graduated high school in Goldsboro, N.C., and entered the United States Marine Corps in 1978. He proudly served his country for 20 years, and serving in Desert Shield/Desert Storm during the 90's, with his duties assigned with the Tactical Data Systems. He retired in November 1998, with full honors as Chief Warrant Officer 3 and moved to Texas.
He started his career with the City of Houston shortly after his retirement in 1999, first with the Radio Communication Systems with both Public Works and Engineering and the Houston Fire Department. He then ended his career with the Materials Management Branch with Resource Management Division of Public Works and Engineering as a Division Manager.
Wayne was a family man. The love and admiration he had for his wife and daughters was like no others. But his love was not limited to them, but to all. His sense of humor was one of a kind, and something he was known for. He always had a great story or joke to tell, he had a passion to laugh and wanted to make sure everyone else laughed as well.
