Siu Ling Lem was born on September 27, 1938, in Toi Shan, Guangdong Province of China. Later she moved to Hong Kong with her mother, Yu Wan Wong Lau, older brother-Yim Lau, and younger brother, Yan Hon Lau, to escape the persecution of the communist revolution in China. In 1961, she married Ngar Kwok “Jimmy” Lem in Hong Kong and moved to Houston, Tx, where they resided for the remainder of their lives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ngar Kwok “Jimmy” Lem, Yiu Luk Lau (father), Yu Wan Wong Lau (mother), Yim Lau (brother), and Yan Hon Lau (brother). Mrs. Lem is survived by her two sons, Edwin and Matthew Lem.
Services will be held at the Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, located at 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023. The visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, April 26, 2023, from 5pm to 8pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 10am.
