To the Riddle family, words cannot express how much our hearts are sorrowed by the loss of Sheryl. In my heart I know she is able to see what each and every one of us is going through. She has sent Our God to comfort and console us. If she were here she would say "don't worry about me. I am with my Father where one day you will be. Our Father is teaching me to wait patiently and has me working as his Angel for now. Just place your hand over your heart and I will be there always." Her work for us here on earth was done. After Sheryl's passing, please know that you were two wonderful sons and a wonderful daughter.  When you begin the journey of living without your mother in your life, you can know she is in you and your children and she is with you in mind and heart.  As you honored your mother during her lifetime, may you continue to honor her during what remains of yours.  May you thank her for your life and thank her for the lessons you learned through her.  She will not be there to applaud your continued adult accomplishments or offer direction at critical crossroads, to worry about you when you are ill or telephone 'just to say hello'; but as you move on to leave your mark on the world, I hope you will not move forward alone.  I hope you take along a rich store of treasures from your childhood and adulthood - hard-learned lessons and principles, fond and painful memories, family celebrations and traditions. Mike, I was so saddened to hear about the loss of your wonderful wife on Monday morning.  I'm sure that you will cherish all of the beautiful memories you had together. I am so saddened to hear about Sheryl.  I knew her at Rice Avenue Church of Christ forty years ago and I remember her as such a sweet person. Phillip and I are praying for your family.

My sincere condolences to Sheryl's family. I was very saddened by the news of her death. As one of the cousins, we spent quite a bit of time playing and had lots of fun times as kids. I'm sorry I didn't get to know her as an adult, my loss. My prayers are with you all.

Sheryl was always involved when help was needed. We first met in 1988 at Compaq and she took fabulous care of our entire IM workgroup. She was our firewall, our caretaker and the best listener in building CCA1. Her love for each of us was obvious. Sheryl's smile and laugh were a part of every day. God gets several gigabytes of credit for creating such a wonderful person and friend. My prayers are with the family as they deal with her loss, knowing full well she is at peace in heaven.

Sheryl was the best friend I've ever had. When we worked at Compaq we were inseparable, and remained very close after we both moved on. Even when some time had passed between phone calls, the minute I heard her voice it was like no time had passed at all. I could talk to her about anything, and she was never critical or judgmental, only loving and reassuring. Seeing her beautiful, amazing family yesterday only confirms her wonderful legacy. She was so proud of all of you, and loved you all so much. I loved her more than words can say and will miss her always. She is irreplaceable. My heart is broken, but I know I'll see her again one day. I love you, Sheryl, and I wish I could hear your laugh just one more time!

Sheryl was a dear friend for the past 26 years. We both started working at Compaq Computer at the same time and became instant best friends.  We had many, many fun times together and I will always consider her my best friend. My deepest sympathy goes to Mike and her family.  Sheryl, I'll miss you!

Sheryl was an amazing lady . Always had a smile on her face and always there to talk too. I am so blessed to have known her. She was a blessing to Brian as well. He loved his talks with her. She will be missed dearly,but we know she is looking down on us and in good hands up there. Our prayers are with the family in this sad time.

My goodness, 40 years didn't diminish Sheryl's beauty, inside and out. We were friends starting in high school and I so admired her maturity and beauty at such young age.  Even though we rarely saw each other after we married and moved away from southwest Houston, it was always so nice to cross paths again and see the same sweet person and her beautiful family. My heart hurts for all of you - Pete, Nelma, Mike, kids and grandkids. The fun pictures you've posted show how much love you all shared. May wonderful memories carry you through this sad time and help you remember all the joy that was Sheryl.

I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my haert.  It has been a great comfort to know that so many other people grew to love Sheryl as I did.  But, how could you not love her.

To my Children

Again I want to thank you. I could not have made it through these last days without your love and support.  You checked on me morning, noon, and night to see if I was alright, when I know you were hurting as badly as I was.  You are incredible people and I attribute that to the love and nurturing of your mother.  I see what wonderful children you are raising and I can't help but think that the love you show your children was inspired by your mother  Just remember that she loved each of you very deeply.  I love you more than I could ever say.

To my grandchildren

Alway remember the good times you had with Nonny.  It could be the trip to New York that she thought was one of the highlights of her life.  It could be spending the night, feeding the horse, going to see the moo cows, hours of Webkins, or hundreds of ball games.  Remember that Nonny loved every one of you.  I love every one of you too.

I know that in a lot of ways this has been harder of you than it has me.  You now have lost both of your children and that is a lot to bear.  I want to thank you for raising such a wonderful daughter and letting me share her all these years.  I love you both.

I have always felt so fortunate to have you as a wife.  We had good times and we had bad times, but we got through them and the love was always there.  I thank you for our family.  We were so blessed to have the family that we do and I give you most of the credit for that.  You touched so many people with your love and kindness.  I know that God looked down and said that you had fulfilled your purpose on earth and that it was time to come home.  I love you so much.

Sheryl and I spent many nights together at "Grandma's house" in our early years and we both had many fond memories of those times. Later in life as my boys were showing at the Houston Livestock Show, she would bring her young children to watch and visit. How much fun for all of us! Last year we got to visit again during the stock show and she turned me on to the "Wii" (as she obviously did her grandchildren). What a fun and precious person she was - with a great smile. She will be missed, but the good memories will keep her alive in our hearts.

Sheryl and I shared a closness in and out through our lives.  After my parents were gone we seemed to share an even stronger bond than ever before.  I "forced" her into wearing Mary Kay makeup.  I knew how much she loved lipstick!!!  There was a time that once a week on my 2 hour drive home from work we would talk the whole way home.  Every Tues. was our special time to talk about everything under the sun.  When she started working with Greg we didn't get to spend that much time on the phone anymore but she was in my thoughts daily.  She had become more than a cousin to me she was my other sister.  In her death she has reminded us how very short life is. The next time I think of someone, I will call because I may not ever get the chance again.  I love you Sheryl and I miss our talks so much.  May you rest in peace.  To her beautiful kids and Mike, I pray this brings you closer together than you had ever been before and you keep that closness forever.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sheryl and I met at Jazzercise and became close friends!  We would talk for hours on the phone, much to talk about!  She brightened my days! We always ended our conversations with "I Love You" and sweet lady, Sheryl, I Love you and I will miss you lots!!

I am so sorry to hear of Sheryl's death.  I am one of her many cousins and I have a lot of memories from our childhood and teenage years.  As children she loved to play school, (she was always the teacher), and as a teenager she loved Mike.  Sheryl, Brenda and myself had a lot of fun together.  I haven't see or talked to her in years, and that is my loss.  Sheryl was a beautiful person.

I will miss Sheryl so much, not that I saw her that often, but we talked on the phone sometimes for, like an hour.I had a message last week that I didnot get around to answering from Sheryl. She was a loving caring daughter, a person, that  loved her Mom so much and always made sure that she knew she was loved. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren.
God sent his angels down to gently lift her to Paradise, we must rejoice for her. Iknow you miss her terribly.

What an amazing woman!!!  I had the unique honor to get the opportunity to work with mom.  It was the blessing I needed that would draw us closer.  It allowed me the chance to speak with her nearly every day, and learn what a special person she was.  So selfless to give up her time and put her life aside to make mine better.  So caring, to never accept a dime for her efforts.  So forgiving to never let our disagreements affect our relationship.  No matter how difficult the day before was, I knew I could always count on that sweet, loving voice the next morning saying, “good morning, how are you?”
I have struggled so much with feeling I didn’t say what I wanted, but as I look back, I think I did, and I think she knew.  The problem wasn’t that I didn’t say it.  The problem was she was so amazing that even if I said it a million times, she deserved 2 million.  So I will count down every day waiting for the day I get to look her in the eye, wrap my arms around her, and say one more time, “I love you mom.”

To Sheryl's entire family, I am so very saddened to hear that Sheryl has passed away.  I have known Sheryl since she was in early high school.  She played the organ at my wedding in the Spring of 1973.  I will never forget how beautiful the music was, and what a beautiful person inside and out Sheryl was.  I send my sincerest and heartfelt sympathy to her husband Mike, all of her beautiful children and grandchildren, and to her parents Pete and Nelma.  My prayers are with you all during this very difficult time.

Mrs. Riddle, You will be missed by all. You were a dear friend and we have a special place in our heart for you. It has been a blessing to know you.
