Sherry Ruth McCommon

Sherry was born in Pasadena TX on December 30, 1953. She graduated and received her high school diploma from Deer Park High School, class of 1972.

She married David Lawrence McCommon (Larry) on May 27, 1972.

Sherry worked in the Personnel Department for Koch Field Services, until she retired in 2020. She worked earlier in her career with Glitch Field Services, and RBJ Breathing Air.

She was a member of the Chickasaw Nation, and had a passion for her grandchildren and…shopping. In her spare time, she also liked reading books, watching old movies, and Hallmark movies. She loved sweets, and could always be counted on to bring a cake, pie, or other sweets.

Sherry is survived by her husband of 50 years, David L. McCommon (Larry), her sons, Christopher K. McCommon, and David Alan McCommon. She is also survived by her daughter, Melissa E. Stahl, and her husband, Timothy Stahl, and her two grandchildren, Sophia M. Stahl, and Aubrey G. Stahl. Sherry is also survived by her brother Shelby Keith Little, his daughter Shanna Hairgrove, his son-in-law John Hairgrove, and two grandchildren, Kadi and Nathan Hairgrove. She is also survived by Shelby’s second daughter, Rachelle Alexander, and two grandchildren, Alyssa Anderson and Bradley Alexander. Sherry is also survived by Alyssa’s husband, Ben Anderson, and their children, Shelby’s great grandchildren, and Sherry’s great nephews, Isaac and Judah Anderson. Sherry is also survived by her brother, Dallas Dewayne Little, and his children, Bryan, Lindy and Kyle Little.

A visitation for Sherry will be held Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Monday, September 12, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale's Chapel of Angels, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A graveside service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM.
