Sharon Kay (Dewberry) Carlson was born on May 25th, 1958 and joined her Heavenly Father on September 15th, 2011 at the age of 53. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin University with bachelors degrees in Biology and Physical Education, where she also played softball for four years, for which she was later inducted into the Hall of Fame. She moved into her teaching career where she taught at many schools, and ended up at Ellen B. Lane School where she taught for the last 14 years. Sharon loved, and was loved by the teachers & students and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her only daughter, Kathryn (KK) Carlson; mother, and father: Bonnie & James Dewberry; brother, Jimmy Dewberry & wife Pam; nephews: Eric, Allen & Jack Dewberry; Kathryn's father, Gordon Carlson; and numerous friends & loved ones. Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 18th from 5-8PM at Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be, Monday, Sept. 19th at St. Lukes Lutheran Church, 11025 Aldine Westfield Rd, Hou., TX 77093. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
