Over the weekend his entire family had come to visit him in hospice. Sam died peacefully and comfortably surrounded by his family. Moments before he died, his daughter, Penny and two grandchildren, David and April were in his room laughing, listening and dancing to Sams favorite music, the Benny Goodman Band. All of in the family have reflected on the fact that he passed after being visited by the family, especially the grandchildren and listening to his favorite music.
